Bitcoin is a proof of work network that started in 2009. BTC is its coin. Here you can swap BTC to or from other coins with no account and no email. You send BTC on the Bitcoin network to the deposit address of your order, and you get the other coin at the address you give. Every Bitcoin transaction is public. This page explains the four address types, how fee rates and confirmations work, why an unconfirmed payment can still be replaced, and what to check before you send.

Bitcoin address types
Bitcoin has four address types in common use. They all hold the same BTC on the same network. You do not need to convert between them.
- Legacy (P2PKH) addresses start with
1. They use Base58Check encoding. This is the oldest type. - Script hash (P2SH) addresses start with
3and are 34 characters long. The address is the hash of a script, such as a multisig script or a SegWit script wrapped in P2SH. - Native SegWit addresses start with
bc1q. They use Bech32 encoding. A single key address is 42 characters long, and a script address is 62. - Taproot addresses start with
bc1p. They use Bech32m encoding and are 62 characters long. Taproot activated at block 709,632 in November 2021.
Addresses that start with bc1 have a checksum that always catches up to four wrong characters. They are all lower case or all upper case. A mix of the two is not a valid address.
Taproot addresses use Bech32m on purpose. Software that only knows the older Bech32 rules cannot send to a bc1p address. When Bech32m was designed, tests found that many wallets and services could not send to newer address versions. If you are not sure the sender supports bc1p, give a bc1q address.
Your Bitcoin history is public
Every Bitcoin transaction is stored on a public ledger. Anyone can look up the balance and history of any address in a block explorer. Your name is not written on the chain. But once someone links an address to you, they can follow the coins that moved through it. The link can come from a payment, an account that knows your identity, or an address you posted.
Bitcoin tracks coins as unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs). Each amount you receive stays a separate piece. When you send, your wallet uses one or more pieces as inputs. A transaction with several inputs shows that they belong to one owner. The Bitcoin whitepaper already named this limit.
A new address for each payment makes linking harder. Taproot adds some privacy in a different way. When a Taproot output is spent, only the spending path that was used is published, not every possible path.
A swap does not remove this history. The BTC you send to your deposit address is a normal public payment. The deposit goes to an address controlled by our liquidity partner until your new coins are sent. Monero hides amounts, senders and receivers by default. Fees, confirmations and replaced payments
Bitcoin fees pay for block space. The fee depends on the size of the transaction in virtual bytes, not on the amount you send. A transaction that spends many small received amounts is larger, so it costs more. Fees change with demand for block space, and many wallets let you set the fee.
A new block comes about every 10 minutes on average. The time is random, so one confirmation can come much sooner or much later. If your fee rate is below what the network is taking at that moment, the first confirmation can take much longer. With a floating quote, the rate can change while your deposit waits.
Six confirmations is an often cited norm, and each service sets its own number. It is a network norm, not our crediting time. Our partner decides when your deposit is credited, and your order page shows the progress.
An unconfirmed payment is not final. The sender can replace it with a new version that spends the same coins and pays a higher fee. This is called replace-by-fee (RBF). Bitcoin Core 28.0 was released in October 2024. Since that version, its nodes accept these replacements by default, even when the first version did not signal it. So an unconfirmed payment should not be treated as received.
If your deposit is stuck, check what your wallet offers. RBF sends a new version with a higher fee. Keep the same deposit address and amount in the new version. Child pays for parent (CPFP) spends coins from the stuck payment in a new transaction with a high fee, so miners have a reason to include both. For a deposit, you can use CPFP only if the stuck payment sent change back to your wallet.
Before you swap BTC
- Send native BTC on the Bitcoin network. Wrapped BTC tokens on other networks are separate tokens.
- Send the exact amount in one transaction. Use each deposit address once.
- If you send from an exchange account, add a refund address from a wallet you control. Without one, a refund goes to the address you sent from, and that may not reach you.
- Deposits are screened. A swap can be held for checks, as explained on Risk and screening.

Recent Bitcoin context
Bitcoin Core 28.0 was released. By default, its nodes now accept a replacement with a higher fee for any unconfirmed transaction, even without an opt-in signal.
Taproot activated at block 709,632. It added Taproot addresses that start with bc1p.
Sending and receiving BTC
BTC (Bitcoin)
Send native BTC on the Bitcoin network, in one transaction, to the deposit address of your order. Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed, so check the address before you confirm. The fee depends on the transaction size, not the amount. Give a Bitcoin address from a wallet you control. It can start with 1, 3, bc1q or bc1p. A BTC payout does not use a memo or tag, so the address is all you need. Your BTC arrives on the Bitcoin network only.
- Check the whole deposit address, not only the first and last characters. Copy it from your order page and compare it after you paste.
- Send native BTC on the Bitcoin network. Wrapped BTC tokens on other networks are separate tokens. Do not use them for a BTC deposit.
- Choose a fee rate that fits the current demand for block space. With a low fee rate your deposit can wait a long time, and a floating quote can change while it waits.
- If the deposit is stuck, raise the fee with replace-by-fee if your wallet offers it, and keep the same deposit address and amount. CPFP works only if the stuck payment sent change back to your wallet. Do not send a second payment to the same order.
- If you send from an exchange account, add a refund address from a wallet you control. A refund to the address you sent from may not reach you.
- Use each deposit address once. Never send to the deposit address of an old order.
- Paste the full address and check every character. The form checks the format only. It cannot tell whether the address belongs to you.
- Use a new receive address for each swap. A reused address links your payments together on the public ledger.
- Addresses that start with bc1p (Taproot) are accepted for the payout. Some older wallets cannot send to them, which matters only if you reuse the address later.
- If you receive to an exchange account, check that its deposit page says BTC on the Bitcoin network. No memo or tag is needed.
- Your wallet may show the payment as unconfirmed at first. A new block comes about every 10 minutes on average, but the time varies.
- If the BTC does not show yet, copy the payout transaction ID from your order page and look it up in a block explorer. If it is confirmed there, let your wallet finish syncing.

Can I swap Bitcoin without KYC or an account?
Yes. Choose BTC and the coin you want, enter your receiving address, and send BTC to the deposit address of your order. We do not ask for an account, an email or ID to start. Deposits are screened, and a swap can be held for checks. The Risk and screening page explains when.
Is Bitcoin anonymous?
No. Bitcoin is pseudonymous. Every transaction and every address balance is public and stays on the chain. Your name is not on the chain, but once an address is linked to you, its history can be followed. A new address for each payment makes linking harder. Swapping here with no account does not change that. Your BTC deposit is public, deposits are screened, and some swaps are held for checks.

Why is my Bitcoin transaction stuck?
A payment waits when its fee rate is below what miners are taking at that moment. If your wallet supports replace-by-fee (RBF), you can send a new version with a higher fee. With child pays for parent (CPFP), someone who got coins from the stuck payment spends them with a high fee, so miners have a reason to include both. That can be the receiver, or the sender if the payment sent change back.
What happens if I send Bitcoin to the wrong address?
Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed. Only the owner of the receiving address can send the coins back. If the address is valid but nobody controls it, the coins are lost. Check the whole address before you send, not only the first and last characters.
Can an unconfirmed Bitcoin payment be cancelled?
Only the sender can try, and only before it confirms. The sender can replace it with a new version that spends the same coins, for example back to their own address, and pays a higher fee. This works only if the new version is confirmed first. After the payment is in a block, it cannot be reversed.
