    Before you swap

Copy your Solana address from your wallet and compare it after you paste. A Solana address has no checksum, and a Bitcoin address that starts with 1 or 3 uses the same characters. SOL sent to a wrong address cannot be pulled back.

Our quotes, not guarantees. Recorded 17 Sep 2026, 18:15 UTC. The payout fee is already taken off. It depends on the network and can change with the amount, and it takes a bigger share of small swaps. Fixed and floating quotes are separate offers, and either can be higher.

Why people swap Bitcoin to Solana

    A first balance on Solana

Every Solana transaction pays its fee in SOL. A wallet with tokens but no SOL cannot pay for its own transactions. Tokens need SOL in a second way too. A wallet keeps each token in a separate token account, and creating one requires a refundable minimum balance in SOL.

That is why people turn some BTC into SOL before they use Solana. Part of it covers fees and token accounts, and the rest is a balance you can use. SOL is also the coin that holders stake with validators. You keep control of staked SOL, but getting it back takes time, so leave some outside the stake account.

An address with no check digits

Your SOL goes to a Solana address, which is a 32-byte value written in base58. It never starts with 0x, because base58 has no zero. It also has no checksum. Bitcoin addresses carry one, so most typos there are caught. On Solana, a mistyped address can still be a valid one, and SOL sent to it cannot be pulled back.

Watch for one mix-up in this swap as well. Bitcoin addresses that start with 1 or 3 use the same base58 characters. With both wallets open, a quick look is not enough. Copy the address from the receive screen of your Solana wallet. After you paste it, compare the whole address, not only its ends, since no checksum will catch a typo.

    While the swap runs

Our partner credits your BTC deposit once it has the Bitcoin confirmations the partner needs. Until the SOL is sent, the BTC stays with our liquidity partner, and your order page lists the payout transaction once it goes out. Checks can pause a swap, as Risk and screening explains. On a floating quote, the SOL amount is settled only once your deposit is confirmed.

    Sending BTC and receiving SOL

    Sending BTC (Bitcoin)

Send native BTC on the Bitcoin network, in one transaction, to the deposit address of your order. Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed, so check the address before you confirm. The fee depends on the transaction size, not the amount.

    • Send native BTC on the Bitcoin network. Wrapped BTC tokens on other networks are separate tokens. Do not use them for a BTC deposit.
    • If you send from an exchange account, add a refund address from a wallet you control. A refund to the address you sent from may not reach you.

    Receiving SOL (Solana)

Give the main address of a Solana wallet that you control. It is 32 to 44 characters long in base58 and has no fixed prefix. Our partner sends native SOL on the Solana network to that address after your deposit is credited.

    • Use your main wallet address. Do not use a token account, mint or program address. SOL sent there can only be moved by the program that owns it.
    • If your address is new and empty, the first transfer into it must meet the network's minimum balance for an account. This is a Solana rule, not a HiddenSwap fee.

    BTC to SOL questions

Can you swap BTC to SOL directly?

Yes. One order takes your BTC on Bitcoin and pays SOL on Solana. There is no account to open and no third coin to handle yourself.

What does a Solana address look like?

It is a 32-byte value written in base58, 32 to 44 characters long. It never starts with 0x. Bitcoin addresses that start with 1 or 3 use the same base58 characters, so copy the address from your Solana wallet instead of judging by its look.

Does a Solana address have a checksum?

No. A Solana address is a 32-byte key written in base58, with no check digits. A mistyped address can still be a valid one, and SOL sent there cannot be pulled back. Copy and paste the address, then compare it with your wallet.

Why would a new Solana wallet need SOL?

Every Solana transaction pays its fee in SOL. A wallet with tokens but no SOL cannot pay for its own transactions. Swapping some BTC to SOL covers those fees.

Why do I need SOL to hold a new token on Solana?

A wallet keeps each token in a separate token account. Creating one requires a refundable minimum balance in SOL, and whoever creates the account pays it. So SOL also covers the token accounts you open later.

Can I stake the SOL I get from this swap?

Yes, once it has arrived. You move SOL into a stake account and delegate it to a validator, and you keep control of it. Getting it back takes time, because deactivation finishes only at the start of a new epoch. Keep some SOL outside the stake account for fees.
