No account and no ID to start. Some swaps are held for checks, and residents of some countries may be asked to verify. How screening works
Before you swap
If a SOL transfer seems to hang, look it up on a Solana explorer before you send again. A second send while the first can still land may put two deposits on one order. Our liquidity partner holds your deposit until your XMR is sent.

Why people swap Solana to Monero
A send that seems to hang
A Solana transaction that no block has taken does not wait for long. Each transaction names a recent blockhash, which the Solana docs compare to a timestamp. If no block takes the transaction within about 60 to 90 seconds, it expires. An expired transaction is never processed.
That rule tells you when a second try is safe. Say your wallet shows an error, or the transfer just spins. Look up the first transaction on a Solana explorer before you do anything else. Send again only once it has failed or expired. If you resend while the first one can still land, both may arrive, and one order gets two deposits. In that case, contact support with your order ID.
Confirmed comes before finalized
Your wallet may call a transfer confirmed early on. Solana has a later stage as well, called finalized. A confirmed block has a very small chance of being dropped. A finalized one does not. Our partner decides which stage it waits for before it credits your deposit, and the order page shows where things stand.
Busy hours and the priority fee
Expiry and fees are linked. When many transactions compete, the leader of each slot chooses which ones to schedule first. An optional priority fee, paid in SOL to the validator, makes it more likely that yours is chosen. Your wallet shows the total fee before you confirm. If a transfer expired at a busy time, a higher priority fee gives the next try a better chance.
For what changes once the value is in XMR, see our Monero (XMR) coin page. For the length of the swap, the SOL sits at an address that our liquidity partner controls. Checks can put the swap on hold, and Risk and screening covers what follows. If you picked a floating quote, treat the XMR figure as an estimate until the deposit is confirmed.

Sending SOL and receiving XMR
Sending SOL (Solana)
Send native SOL on the Solana network to the deposit address of your order. Copy and paste the address. Solana addresses have no checksum, so a typo can still look like a valid address. Keep a little extra SOL for the network fee.
- Paste the deposit address and compare the first and last characters before you confirm. Solana transfers cannot be reversed.
- Your account must keep a minimum balance. A send that would leave less than that minimum, but more than zero, fails. Keep the minimum, or send your whole balance.
Receiving XMR (Monero)
Give a Monero address from a wallet you control. A subaddress starts with 8 and a standard address starts with 4. Both have 95 characters. Received XMR stays locked for 10 confirmations, about 20 minutes, before you can spend it.
- New XMR shows in your total balance first. It moves to your unlocked balance after 10 confirmations.
- You can scan for one transaction ID in your wallet. Through a remote node, this can show that ID to the node operator. A web explorer can only decode a payout if you enter your address and private view key, and that server then sees both.
SOL to XMR questions
Questions about Monero itself, such as legality and delistings, are answered in our Monero (XMR) coin guide
My SOL transfer seems stuck. Should I send it again?
Check the transaction on a Solana explorer first. A Solana transaction that no block takes within about 60 to 90 seconds expires, and an expired transaction is never processed. Send again only after the first one has failed or expired. Otherwise you may end up with two deposits.
My wallet says confirmed. Is my SOL deposit final?
Not yet in the strictest sense. Solana shows a transfer as confirmed before it is finalized, which comes a little later. Our partner decides when your deposit is credited, and the order page shows the progress.
Should I add a priority fee to my SOL deposit?
It can help when the network is busy. A priority fee is optional, paid in SOL and goes to the validator. It makes it more likely that the current leader schedules your transaction ahead of others. That matters because a transaction that waits too long expires.
My SOL transfer failed with an error about rent. Why?
Every Solana account with a balance must hold a refundable minimum amount of SOL. A transfer that would leave your account above zero but below that minimum fails. Send a little less, or let your wallet work out the largest amount it can send.
What does it cost to send SOL to the deposit address?
Solana charges a base fee for each signature in the transaction, paid in SOL. Your wallet shows the total, with any priority fee, before you confirm. This is separate from the payout fee in our quote.
Do I need a memo when I send SOL?
No. A native SOL deposit does not need a memo. If your order page ever shows one next to the deposit address, add it.
