XMR to ETH: swap Monero to Ethereum with no KYC
On , our floating quote for 1 XMR was 0.2041 ETH after a 0.00006 ETH payout fee.
Rate before the payout fee: 1 XMR ≈ 0.2041 ETH (our calculation from that quote).
No account and no ID to start. Some swaps are held for checks, and residents of some countries may be asked to verify. How screening works
Before you swap
Paste the full 0x address, not an ENS name. The payout goes to the Ethereum main network, not to Arbitrum or Base. Keep the transaction key your Monero wallet shows. It proves your deposit if support needs it.

How to swap XMR to ETH
Enter an amount of at least 0.01161 XMR and paste your ETH address on Ethereum.
Send the exact amount in one transaction from Monero to the deposit address shown after you start.
Monero adds a block about 2 minutes on average. Our partner decides how many confirmations to wait for, and the order page shows each step.
Your ETH is sent to your address.

Why people swap Monero to Ethereum
Where the ETH lands
People usually move from XMR to ETH to use the value on Ethereum. There, every transaction pays gas in ETH, so ETH is the coin to hold first. It can also pay its own fee when you send it on. Our Ethereum (ETH) coin page explains how gas works.
This page pays out on the Ethereum main network. Your 0x address also works on Arbitrum, Base and other EVM networks, but each network keeps its own balance. For ETH on one of those, choose that version in our coin list.
Keep the transaction key
Monero does not show who sent a payment, as our Monero (XMR) coin page explains. Proof that you paid must come from your own wallet. Save the transaction ID when you send. Your wallet also creates a one-time transaction key for each payment. The ID, the key and the deposit address together let anyone check the payment and its amount. In the command line wallet, get_tx_key shows the key. That wallet keeps keys only while its store-tx-info setting is on. It is on by default, but check it if you changed your settings. Keep the wallet and its seed until the swap is done. If a swap is held, Risk and screening lists what you may be asked for.
A payout address with no past
Unlike your XMR, the payout is public from the moment it lands. If your main address has an ENS name, a payout there joins the history that anyone can find through that name. An Ethereum account costs nothing to create, so a new one just for this swap is easy to set up. Paste its 0x address as text, because our address check does not read ENS names.
Until the ETH is sent, our liquidity partner holds your XMR. With a floating quote, the ETH amount can still change until your deposit is confirmed.
Sending XMR and receiving ETH
Sending XMR (Monero)
Send XMR from your Monero wallet to the deposit address of your order, in one transaction. Your wallet must be fully synced and have enough unlocked balance. A Monero transaction cannot be reversed once it is in a block, so check the address first.
- Copy and paste the deposit address. A Monero address has 95 or 106 characters. Compare the first and last characters before you confirm.
- Keep a little extra XMR for the network fee. The sender pays it. It depends on the size of the transaction and on network congestion, not on the amount.
Receiving ETH (Ethereum)
Give an Ethereum address that you control. It starts with 0x and has 42 characters. ETH arrives on Ethereum mainnet only. Your wallet must show Ethereum mainnet to see it.
- Use a regular wallet address, never a token contract address. A transfer to a contract runs its code, so use a smart contract wallet only if it accepts plain ETH transfers.
- Ethereum can add a new block every 12 seconds. A block is final after about 15 minutes. Your order page shows the progress of your swap.
XMR to ETH questions
Questions about Monero itself, such as legality and delistings, are answered in our Monero (XMR) coin guide
Can I enter an ENS name instead of a 0x address?
No. Paste the 0x address itself. Our address check expects 0x followed by 40 hex characters, so it does not read ENS names. Your wallet shows the full 0x address on its receive screen.
Can I receive the ETH on Arbitrum or Base instead?
Not on this page. It pays out ETH on the Ethereum main network. ETH on Arbitrum or Base is a separate choice in our coin list. Your 0x address looks the same on each of these networks, but the balances are separate, so pick the network with care.
Can the ETH go straight to my exchange account?
Yes, if the exchange credits ETH sent on the Ethereum network. Open its deposit page, choose Ethereum as the network, and paste that exact address. The same address may appear for other networks too, so the network choice is what counts.
Should I use a new Ethereum address for the payout?
It is a good idea. Creating an Ethereum account costs nothing, and a new address can receive ETH right away. The payout is public, so a fresh address keeps it apart from your older activity.
What is a Monero transaction key, and why keep it?
Your wallet makes a one-time key for each payment. The key, the transaction ID and the deposit address together let anyone check that the XMR was sent, and how much.
How do I find the transaction key in the command line wallet?
Run get_tx_key followed by the transaction ID. The wallet can show the key only if it stored it when you sent. The store-tx-info setting controls this, and it is on by default.
Do I need a second coin to move the ETH later?
No. Gas on Ethereum is paid in ETH, so the payout can cover its own fee when you send it on. Leave some ETH in the wallet if you plan to move tokens from that address too.
