Before you swap
Send native SOL on the Solana network only. Wrapped SOL and other Solana tokens are not native SOL, and staked SOL must be withdrawn to your wallet first. Help with a wrong deposit is not guaranteed. Our liquidity partner holds your SOL until your BTC is sent.

Why people swap Solana to Bitcoin
Bitcoin itself, not a copy of it
Blockchains cannot move coins to each other on their own. Bridges fill that gap. Many of them lock a coin on one chain and mint a wrapped version on another. That wrapped coin is a token on the second chain. It stands for bitcoin, but it is not BTC on the Bitcoin network. It depends on the bridge that issued it: on the bridge code, and for many bridges, on the people who run it.
This swap works another way. You send native SOL on Solana, and native BTC goes to a Bitcoin address in your own wallet. There is no wrapped token to redeem later. Once the bitcoin has arrived, no bridge stands between you and it.
What you accept instead
Skipping the bridge does not mean trusting nobody. From the moment your SOL arrives until your BTC is sent, our liquidity partner holds it. The swap can also be held while it is screened. Risk and screening lists the reasons. So you trade one kind of trust for another, but only for the length of the swap.
If a swap cannot finish, you get SOL back, not BTC. It goes to your refund address, or to the address you sent from if you left that field empty. A floating quote fixes the BTC amount only when your deposit confirms. Until then, the first figure is an estimate.
Before you start
Wrapped bitcoin on Solana would have landed in your Solana wallet. Native BTC needs a Bitcoin wallet instead. Set one up if you do not have one, and copy a receiving address from it. Your Solana address cannot receive BTC.
The deposit must be plain SOL from your wallet balance. Staked SOL sits in a stake account. Its deactivation takes several epochs, and only then can you withdraw it to your wallet. Wrapped SOL sits in a token account, and closing that account releases the SOL.
Sending SOL and receiving BTC
Sending SOL (Solana)
Send native SOL on the Solana network to the deposit address of your order. Copy and paste the address. Solana addresses have no checksum, so a typo can still look like a valid address. Keep a little extra SOL for the network fee.
- Choose the Solana network in your wallet or exchange account. If a platform lists SOL on more than one network, pick Solana.
- Send native SOL. Wrapped SOL is a separate SPL token balance, so unwrap it in your wallet first.
Receiving BTC (Bitcoin)
Give a Bitcoin address from a wallet you control. It can start with 1, 3, bc1q or bc1p. A BTC payout does not use a memo or tag, so the address is all you need. Your BTC arrives on the Bitcoin network only.
- Paste the full address and check every character. The form checks the format only. It cannot tell whether the address belongs to you.
- Addresses that start with bc1p (Taproot) are accepted for the payout. Some older wallets cannot send to them, which matters only if you reuse the address later.
SOL to BTC questions
Do I need a bridge to move SOL to Bitcoin?
No. You send SOL on Solana, and the BTC is paid out on the Bitcoin network. No bridge and no wrapped token are involved on your side. During the swap, our liquidity partner holds your SOL instead.
Will I get wrapped BTC on Solana?
No. You get bitcoin on the Bitcoin network, at a Bitcoin address you enter. Nothing arrives in your Solana wallet.
Do I need a Bitcoin wallet before I start?
Yes. The BTC travels on the Bitcoin network, so the payout needs a receiving address from your own Bitcoin wallet. A Solana address has a different format and cannot receive BTC.
How is the risk different from using a bridge?
A wrapped token depends on the bridge that issued it for as long as you hold it. In this swap, our liquidity partner holds your SOL until your BTC is sent, and a swap can be held for checks. Once the BTC is at your own address, no bridge is involved.
What do I get back if the swap fails?
SOL, not BTC. It goes to the Solana refund address in your order. If you left that field empty, it goes to the address you sent the SOL from.
Can I send staked SOL?
Not directly. Staked SOL sits in a stake account. Deactivate the stake, wait for the deactivation to finish, which takes several epochs, and withdraw the SOL to your wallet. Then send that plain SOL.
