Before you swap
Give a Tron address that starts with T, not a Bitcoin address and not a 0x address. Pick a Bitcoin fee rate that fits current demand, because a low fee can leave your deposit waiting. Until the TRX is sent, the BTC waits at the deposit address of your order.

Why people swap Bitcoin to Tron
From bitcoin to the coin that runs Tron
Bitcoin has no issuer, and no one can freeze it at an address. TRX is the native coin of the Tron network. Every transaction on Tron is paid in bandwidth and energy, and TRX is how you get them: you burn it, or you stake it.
Most people who make this swap need TRX for something on Tron. Some hold USDT there and need TRX so it can move, because each USDT transfer uses energy. Some want to stake TRX for energy or bandwidth. Others want to hold TRX itself. This page does not tell you which coin to hold. If what you really want is a dollar token on Tron, see BTC to USDT (TRC-20).
Sending the bitcoin
Send native BTC on the Bitcoin network, in one transaction, to the deposit address on your order page. The fee depends on the size of the transaction, not the amount. A fee rate set too low can leave the deposit waiting for a long time, and on a floating quote the TRX amount keeps moving while it waits. If the deposit is stuck, raise the fee with replace-by-fee if your wallet offers it. Never send a second payment to the same order. Our Bitcoin (BTC) coin page covers address types and fees in more detail.
The Tron address you give
Paste a Tron address from a wallet you control. It has 34 characters and starts with T. A wallet that holds several coins shows a different address for each network, so switch it to Tron before you copy. An address that starts with 0x belongs to an EVM network and cannot receive TRX.
A new, empty address is fine. It becomes active when it first receives TRX, and the sender pays the account creation fee, so the payout itself takes care of it. Bitcoin and Tron are both public chains, so a new address keeps the payout apart from your older Tron transfers.
Between the deposit and the payout, your BTC is no longer in your wallet. It waits at the deposit address of your order until the TRX is sent. If a swap cannot finish, the refund is BTC, and it goes to the Bitcoin address the BTC came from.
Sending BTC and receiving TRX
Sending BTC (Bitcoin)
Send native BTC on the Bitcoin network, in one transaction, to the deposit address of your order. Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed, so check the address before you confirm. The fee depends on the transaction size, not the amount.
- Choose a fee rate that fits the current demand for block space. With a low fee rate your deposit can wait a long time, and a floating quote can change while it waits.
- If the deposit is stuck, raise the fee with replace-by-fee if your wallet offers it, and keep the same deposit address and amount. CPFP works only if the stuck payment sent change back to your wallet. Do not send a second payment to the same order.
Receiving TRX (Tron)
You receive TRX at a Tron address that starts with T and has 34 characters. Use an address from a wallet you control. The payout also activates a new Tron address, so you can use one with no history.
- Give a Tron address that you control. Check that it starts with T and has 34 characters.
- A new Tron address becomes active when it first receives TRX. The sender pays the small account creation fee, so the payout itself activates it.
BTC to TRX questions
How do I swap BTC to TRX?
Choose BTC as the coin you send and TRX as the coin you get. Enter the Tron address that should get the TRX and the Bitcoin address you send from. Then send native BTC to the deposit address on your order page, in one transaction. The TRX is sent once your deposit is credited.
Can I swap BTC to TRX without KYC?
Yes. You can start this swap with no account, no email and no ID. With no profile to sign in to, the link to your order page is how you get back to your swap, so save it when the order opens.
Which address do I paste for the TRX?
A Tron address from a wallet you control. It has 34 characters and starts with T. A Bitcoin address cannot receive TRX, and neither can an address that starts with 0x, even in a wallet that also shows Tron.
Does a new Tron address need TRX before the payout?
No. A new Tron address becomes active when it first receives TRX, and the sender pays the small account creation fee. The payout itself activates your address.
Will the TRX cover my USDT transfers on Tron?
It can. Each USDT transfer on Tron uses energy, which you can pay by burning TRX or by staking TRX for energy. The amount a transfer needs is not fixed, so check your wallet's estimate before you send.
My BTC deposit is not confirming. What can I do?
If your wallet offers replace-by-fee, raise the fee and keep the same deposit address and amount. Do not send a second payment to the same order. On a floating quote, the TRX amount is set when the deposit confirms.
How long does a BTC to TRX swap take?
Most of the wait is on the Bitcoin side. A Bitcoin block comes about every 10 minutes on average, but the time varies, and your deposit is credited after enough confirmations. Tron then adds a block about every 3 seconds, so the payout settles quickly once it is sent.
Is the TRX amount fixed when I start the order?
Only on a fixed quote, and only for the exact amount shown, sent before the deadline on your order page. On a floating quote, the TRX amount follows the market until your deposit confirms. The payout fee in TRX is shown before you swap.
