BNB to Tether on Tron swap

Why people swap Tether on Tron to BNB

From a dollar token to the coin that pays BNB Smart Chain gas

USDT on Tron is a token that Tether pegs to the US dollar. BNB is the native coin of BNB Smart Chain, and its price moves with the market. Every transaction on BNB Smart Chain pays its gas in BNB, including BEP-20 token transfers. An address that holds tokens but no BNB cannot move them.

So people make this swap to start using BNB Smart Chain, to top up gas for tokens they already hold there, or to hold BNB itself. This page does not tell you which coin to hold.

    Leaving Tron

The deposit address on your order is a Tron address. It starts with T and takes USDT from the one contract Tether lists for Tron. USDT on Ethereum or on BNB Smart Chain does not reach it. The Tron transfer pays its network cost in energy and bandwidth, not in USDT, so a wallet of your own needs TRX or energy for it. Our Tether (USDT) coin page explains how Tron charges for a USDT transfer. If your USDT is on an exchange account, withdraw it to your own wallet first, because the swap form asks for the address you send from.

Getting BNB on BNB Smart Chain

Give a 0x address from a wallet that supports BNB Smart Chain. Most EVM wallets show the same 0x address on Ethereum and on BNB Smart Chain, but the balances are separate. The BNB lands on BNB Smart Chain, chain ID 56, so switch your wallet to that network to see it, or look up the address on BscScan. Old addresses that start with bnb1 belong to BNB Beacon Chain, which stopped in November 2024, and the form refuses them.

Between the deposit and the payout, your USDT is no longer in your wallet. It waits at the deposit address of your order until the BNB is sent. On a floating quote, the BNB amount is set only once your deposit confirms. If a swap cannot finish, the refund is USDT on Tron, and it goes to the Tron address the USDT came from. The way back is BNB to USDT (TRC-20).

Sending USDT (TRC-20) and receiving BNB

    Sending USDT (TRC-20)

Send USDT on the Tron network only. Your wallet or exchange must show Tron or TRC-20 as the network. The sending address also needs TRX, because Tron charges for token transfers in energy and bandwidth, not in USDT.

    • Pick Tron (TRC-20) in your wallet or in the exchange withdrawal form. USDT sent on another network does not reach a Tron deposit address.
    • Keep some TRX in the sending address. A USDT transfer uses energy, and energy has no free quota. Without energy or TRX to burn, the transfer cannot be paid.

    Receiving BNB (BNB Smart Chain)

Give a BNB Smart Chain address that you control. It starts with 0x and has 42 characters. BNB arrives on BNB Smart Chain only, so your wallet must show that network to see it. No memo or tag is needed.

    • Paste the full 0x address from the receive screen of your wallet, with BNB Smart Chain selected.
    • Do not give an old BNB Beacon Chain address that starts with bnb1. That chain stopped in November 2024 and cannot receive this payout.

    USDT (TRC-20) to BNB questions

How do I swap USDT to BNB?

Choose USDT (TRC-20) as the coin you send and BNB (BNB Smart Chain) as the coin you get. Enter the 0x address that should get the BNB and the Tron address you send from. Then send the USDT on the Tron network to the deposit address on your order page, in one transfer. The BNB is sent once your deposit is credited.

Can I swap USDT to BNB without KYC?

Yes. You can start this swap with no account, no email and no ID. With no profile to sign in to, the link to your order page is how you get back to your swap, so save it when the order opens.

Why do I need BNB on BNB Smart Chain?

Every transaction on BNB Smart Chain pays its gas in BNB, including BEP-20 token transfers and app use. An address that holds only tokens cannot move them. The BNB from this swap covers that cost, or you can hold it as a coin.

Which address do I give for the BNB?

A 0x address from a wallet that supports BNB Smart Chain. EVM wallets show the same 0x address on Ethereum, so switch the wallet to BNB Smart Chain, chain ID 56, to see the BNB. Do not give a Tron address or an old bnb1 address.

My USDT is on Ethereum. Can I send it to this deposit address?

No. This deposit address is on Tron and takes only USDT on Tron. USDT sent from Ethereum or any other network does not arrive here, and a return is not guaranteed. Pick USDT (ERC-20) as the coin you send in the swap form instead.

How long does a USDT to BNB swap take?

Both networks are fast. A Tron block comes about every 3 seconds and is final after about a minute, and your deposit is credited once it has enough confirmations. BNB Smart Chain adds a block about every 0.45 seconds, so the payout settles quickly once it is sent.

Is the BNB amount fixed when I start the order?

Only on a fixed quote, and only for the exact amount shown, sent before the deadline on your order page. On a floating quote, the BNB amount follows the market until your deposit confirms. The payout fee in BNB is shown before you swap.
