Before you swap
The USDT is paid on Tron, so give a Tron address that starts with T, not your 0x address. Send native BNB on BNB Smart Chain from a regular wallet, with extra BNB for gas. Until the USDT is sent, the BNB waits at the deposit address of your order.

Why people swap BNB to Tether on Tron
From BNB to a dollar token
BNB is the native coin of BNB Smart Chain. It pays the gas there, and its price moves with the market. USDT is a token that Tether issues and pegs to the US dollar. People make this swap to keep part of their BNB at a steady dollar value, or because the person or service they pay next asks for USDT on Tron. This page does not tell you which coin to hold.
One difference matters before you start. Tether can freeze USDT at an address, as our Tether (USDT) coin page explains. No one can freeze native BNB at an address that way.
Sending BNB from BNB Smart Chain
Send native BNB on BNB Smart Chain, chain ID 56, to the deposit address on your order page. Your wallet shows the same 0x address on Ethereum and other EVM networks, so check the network before you send. Keep extra BNB for gas, which is paid on top of the amount. Send a plain transfer from a regular wallet, because deposits sent from smart contracts are not processed automatically.
If your BNB sits on an exchange account, withdraw it to your own wallet first, since the swap form asks for the address you send from. Old addresses that start with bnb1 belong to BNB Beacon Chain, which stopped in November 2024, so BNB cannot come from there.
Getting USDT on Tron
The payout is USDT on Tron, at an address that starts with T and has 34 characters. The 0x address of your BNB wallet cannot receive it. Many wallets show a Tron address as well; switch to Tron and copy it from the receive screen. Our guide to both USDT networks explains why each version of USDT stays on its own network.
You need no TRX to receive the USDT. You will need TRX or energy to move it later, because each USDT transfer on Tron uses energy. If you want TRX too, see USDT (TRC-20) to TRX.
Between the deposit and the payout, your BNB is no longer in your wallet. It waits at the deposit address of your order until the USDT is sent. On a floating quote, the USDT amount is set only once your deposit confirms. If a swap cannot finish, the refund is BNB, and it goes to the address the BNB came from.
Sending BNB and receiving USDT (TRC-20)
Sending BNB (BNB Smart Chain)
Send native BNB on BNB Smart Chain, in one transaction, to the deposit address of your order. Check the network in your wallet first. The same 0x address also exists on Ethereum and other EVM networks, but those are different networks.
- Choose BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20, chain ID 56) in your wallet or exchange. Do not pick Ethereum or opBNB, even if the address looks the same.
- Keep extra BNB for gas. The fee is paid in BNB on top of the amount you send.
Receiving USDT (TRC-20)
You receive USDT (TRC-20) at a Tron address that starts with T. Use an address from a wallet that shows Tron tokens. Tron transfers have no memo field, so none is needed. The sender pays the transfer cost, so you need no TRX to receive USDT. You will need TRX to send it later.
- Give a Tron address that you control. Check that it starts with T and has 34 characters.
- Add some TRX to the receiving address if you plan to move the USDT later. A new Tron address becomes active when it receives TRX or a TRC-10 token. USDT is a TRC-20 token, so send TRX to the address as well.
BNB to USDT (TRC-20) questions
How do I swap BNB to USDT?
Choose BNB (BNB Smart Chain) as the coin you send and USDT (TRC-20) as the coin you get. Enter the Tron address that should get the USDT and the 0x address you send from. Then send native BNB on BNB Smart Chain to the deposit address on your order page, in one transaction. The USDT is sent once your deposit is credited.
Can I swap BNB to USDT without KYC?
Yes. You can start this swap with no account, no email and no ID. With no profile to sign in to, the link to your order page is how you get back to your swap, so save it when the order opens.
Why is the USDT on Tron and not on BNB Smart Chain?
This page pays USDT on Tron (TRC-20), which many wallets and services use for USDT. Tether lists Tron among its networks, and each version of USDT stays on its own network. If you need USDT at a 0x address instead, pick that network as the coin you get in the swap form.

Can I paste my 0x address for the USDT?
No. The payout goes to a Tron address, which has 34 characters and starts with T. Your BNB wallet's 0x address cannot receive USDT on Tron. If your wallet supports Tron, switch it to Tron and copy the address from its receive screen.
Do I need TRX to receive the USDT?
No. The sender pays for the transfer. You will need TRX or energy later to move the USDT, because each USDT transfer on Tron uses energy.
My BNB is on an old bnb1 address. Can I send it?
No. BNB Beacon Chain, which used bnb1 addresses, stopped in November 2024. This deposit takes native BNB on BNB Smart Chain, sent from a 0x address.
How long does a BNB to USDT swap take?
Both networks are fast. BNB Smart Chain adds a block about every 0.45 seconds. A Tron block comes about every 3 seconds and is final after about a minute. Your deposit is credited after enough confirmations, and your order page shows each step.
Is the USDT amount fixed when I start the order?
Only on a fixed quote, and only for the exact amount shown, sent before the deadline on your order page. On a floating quote, the USDT amount follows the market until your deposit confirms. The payout fee in USDT is shown before you swap.
